One of the most successful courses ever presented by BARP has uncovered hidden talent within the membership. Distinguished Barbadian Artist and BARP member Fielding Babb, invited members to attend an Art Course for Beginners, believing that we all have latent talents, and if we tap into our creative side, we will be very surprised at the outcome.
The course was an enormous success and awards were handed out to over 35 students who successfully completed the course. So delighted with the results were those who took the course, that some have arranged to continue to meet on a monthly basis to further advance their skills. The meetings will take place at a variety of locations and will be attended by the source of their inspiration, Fielding Babb.
Further beginners’ courses are planned and details will be available shortly. These art classes are exactly the kind of activity BARP wants to continue to support, where older people are encouraged to develop existing skills and talents and discover new ones. Part of a healthy retirement is remaining active and that is something BARP will promote at every turn.
