2008 Crop Over Fete a hit - Again!

The 2nd Annual BARP Cropover Fete was held on Saturday June 28th 2008 and, as promised, was even bigger and better than the 2007 event.  The grounds of Guardian General Insurance were once again filled with revellers eating, drinking and dancing the evening away to the sounds the BARP Cropover DJ, with Seaman’s tuk band and Peter Laurie’s ‘Free Spirits’ creating the Cropover mood.  John King, and Eggs, featuring Cassius Clay also performed and finally, ‘top of the bill’ Black Stalin, who had flown in especially for the occasion, positively brought down the house (or maybe that should be the tents).

As usual, the event was organised to perfection by Frank DaSilva and his team with excellent entertainment and plenty of food and drink on hand to satisfy those present, as well as a wide range of door prizes and an efficient park and ride system operating throughout the evening.

There is no doubt that the BARP Cropover Fete is now established as one of the highlights of the season, not just for BARP members, but for all persons aged 50 and over who prefer their Cropover entertainment presented in this style.

Make sure you are front of the queue when tickets go on sale for the 2009 Fete.
