The BARP Personal Assistance Fund (PAF) was set up in 1999 to provide assistance, by way of grants, to BARP members who are experiencing severe financial difficulty.
In order to qualify for assistance from the Fund, the person applying must have been a fully paid up member of BARP for at least the previous two years. Eligible members need only fill out a simple form and will then be contacted by a member of the Personal Assistance Fund Committee to discuss their circumstances. All applications are treated in confidence and with the utmost sensitivity.
From its inception, the PAF has been funded by the kind donations of BARP members who have contributed voluntarily, in order to assist fellow members in their time of need. Due to the number of requests for assistance being received, additional and on-going support for the PAF is urgently required. We therefore invite you to make a contribution to the fund, using the Personal Assistance Fund Contribution form . We also encourage you to continue to contribute to the fund on a regular basis.
You can drop off the form at the BARP Office at any time during opening hours (Monday - Friday 8.30am-3pm) or you can post it together with your cheque made payable to BARP Personal Assistance Fund (no cash in the post please) to BARP, Collymore Rock, St. Michael BB14004, Barbados. On behalf of those BARP members who urgently need your assistance, we thank you most sincerely.
