Fifty Plus Magazine Fifty Plus, the magazine of the Barbados Association of Retired Persons, is published twice a year and distributed free of charge to all 22,000 BARP members and is also available for purchase in bookstores and other retail outlets.     Dedicated to improving the quality of life of older persons throughout the island, The Barbados Association of Retired Persons (BARP) is a non-profit, non governmental organisation (NGO) which actively promotes the independence, dignity and purpose in life of its members, representing and expressing their views and concerns, and taking action to bring about change. With over 22,000 members, BARP is one of the largest organisations of its kind in Barbados and one of the fastest growing.
